The High-Score Herald: MNB2 Strategy Guides: Part 2

Welcome to part 2 of 4 of The High-Score Herald's MNB2 Strategy Guides.

We left off with 4 soldiers, an engineer, and a mortar man. Today we are going to finish off my strategy.
Okay, after you get the camo net, going to want to get three more men: An officer, a signalman, and a sniper, in any order.Put them behind your trench, but inside your camouflage net. You then may want to put sandbags for them. (Optional) It should look like this:

After this, you can call in anything you want, as you need them. I'd suggest a tank, in front of your trench, and another mortar man, beside your current one. After that, it should look sorta like this:

Splitter - A guide by Mario

SPLITTER
This game has been lingering on Kongregate for some time (since October, as a matter of fact) but only now has it finally been given the badges it seems to deserve. As the title suggests, the game involves splitting. You guide an odd little smiley face into its brown goal by splitting objects with a knife. That smiley face is quite an endearing little chap, despite his slightly mental grin, as his eyes follow your knife around the stage. Anyway, let’s get to the meat of the gameplay. As with most puzzle games, the concept is very simple-but, also as with most puzzle games, new layers are added on top to make it into a challenge. Your knife can only split wood, and there are brick walls and metal walls to face, not to mention ropes attached to swinging spheres which can knock your smiley face into next week. The first level introduces you simply and easily-you cut a square in half, making a ramp for your odd hero to slide down to get to the goal, collecting a star on the way. Oh, did I mention the stars? Damn, no I didn’t. You see, on your way to the goal, once again, a puzzle cliché, there’s some bonuses to be found that you don’t need to collect and merely give you extra points. The gameplay is similar physics based stuff to what we’ve seen before in flash games, but at least it’s a nice concept with a smart layout and a decent hook to it. You’ve got all the good old clichés in flash puzzle games-a time limit reducing your score every second, extra points to be garnered from taking harder paths, and a great difficulty ramp. As the levels progress you’re using seesaw mechanics, desperately attempting to get timing right, and more good old physics fun. This is nothing groundbreaking, simply a decent addition to flash’s large library of puzzle games. Admittedly it is one of the better ones, and I would recommend it for its addictive side, its nice difficulty, and simply the nice feel of the game. Mario, out.

High-Score Herald: MNB2 Strategy Guide: Part 1

Ok, I got 2, that`s right, you can count them on your fingers, 2, strategy guides for one of my favourite games, Mud and Blood 2. I'll be doing my personal strategy guide, and an 'official' strategy guide for all of you. This is part 1:

First, My Strategy Guide:
Ok, first, send your soldiers out sorta close to the bottom, with your best rifleman/men furthest toward the bottom, and your worst rifleman/men furthest up. Taunt as soon as the game starts, so you will get 4 quick TPs. Wait until you get 8 TPs, and get a mortar man. Put him as close to the bottom as possible, in the middle. It should look like this:

After that, save up 4 more points, and get an engineer. Get 2 more TPs, and get a trench. Put it sorta in the middle of your men. Move everyone in it except for your mortar guy. He should be behind the trench. After that, put a camo net over the trench to stop all airstikes (they only attack squads of 6 or larger, and the camo net eliminates everyone underneath it from that equation). After that, give your best 2 men an M1 Garand/Carbine, and your worst 2 shotguns. It should now look like this:

Thats the end of part 1, tune in tomorrow for part 2!

The High-Score Herald: Introductory Article

Hello, world, and welcome, for the first time, to The High-Score Herald!

Ok, this is how it's going to work. Whenever a high-score is set or broken on one of kongregate.com's top games (GemCraft for example) I will make an article about it here, under sports (hopefully I'll get my own topic, soon).

Also, I'll be making article's about Flash gaming, and strategies for getting top scores, on certain games.

Well, that's it, see you during the next article!

Not Quite 9000

"The 9,000 Hitler Fail"

More trouble in the OT. A possible /B/tard named Plui had attempted to crash Kong by a poor attempt at the 9,000 Hitler Post. The 9,000 Hitler post, or the crasher, if posted enough and correctly could be fatal to a computer or even the site for a short time. He had only posted an estimate of 500, which is far from enough to do any damage. This topic was locked shortly after creation and never gained much hype. Kong has once again repressed the scum of the earth known as /B/

Hai!!!! Again!!!!

Okay, Mantor now has acess to posting. So, give him as much respect as you give me.

We yet again have an article name change!

OMG! Mantor, one of our great employees, has just asked to change his article's name to The High-Score Herald! Now, that's a great name.

- Always keeping you posted, pivotman99.

Here we go again!

May. 11, 2009
Yesterday, one of the more known trolls; ZhangJiao3, had shocked an unprepared Kong community. This troll had posted a direct link to a shock site known as goatse. Goatse, as many of our fellow users know or now know, is a picture that can only be described as this: “For the people who might want to know what?s there, It?s an arse, of a man.?Nuff said”-Falonefal.
Dont believe that this is true? Here is the shock of some of our comrades:
XightP- ITS A TRAP! ITS GOATSE!!
Falonefal- DON?T CLICK THAT!!!FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!
Hokage4354- ITS A TRAP!
UzumakiNaruto- OH, lawd, thank God for computer lag. Why the hell did I even try to click on a link from ED?
Xubnormal- Owch, my eyes. It really WAS a trap. 0.o
GooGooglyeye- Oh my dear goodness. My adolescent mind was not ready for that.
Dctaco12 - AHH!!! MAKE ME UNSEE IT!!!!!!!1111
Of course, this was an occasion of many lulz. But our mod Valkyrie finally gave the troll our famous banhammer.

The Shit Heads Down At PR2

Recently on Platform Racing 2, the admin Melanie was hacked by UnknownAX. He made a site called “The Clam” which saved Melanie’s password when she logged in. Many evil people were modded, and started banning random people for 5 years on their IP. It is also rumored that some levels were erased. Jiggmin came on, and demodded and unbanned everybody in the 24 hours. Melanie made a topic about her apologies, but has not been remodded again.
